2. In short: who does what?
• I run this website as an artist and create its content.
• Fourthwall, Inc. (PO Box 5696, Santa Monica, CA 90405, USA) provides the technical platform (hosting, shop system, cookie banner, contact form, newsletter form) and is the seller of all products. Ordering, payment, production, shipping, returns and customer service are handled by Fourthwall.
• Where Fourthwall processes data to sell and fulfil your order (e.g. name, address, email, order and payment data, tax and accounting data), it does so as the seller. See Fourthwall's privacy policy: https://fourthwall.com/privacy-policy (contact: privacy@fourthwall.com).
• I am responsible for the website itself (page views, cookies, embedded services). Where Fourthwall pursues its own purposes (e.g. its own analytics and advertising tools, see section 6), we may be joint controllers (Art. 26 GDPR). You may then exercise your rights against me and against Fourthwall.
3. Visiting the website and hosting
When you visit this website, Fourthwall, as my technical service provider, automatically processes data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time, page visited, referrer URL, browser, operating system and device type. Your approximate country is derived from your IP address to show you the right currency.
• Purpose: delivering and displaying the website, stability, security, abuse prevention.
• Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website); for technically necessary storage on your device, Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act).
• Providers/server location: Fourthwall, Inc. (USA). Based on my review, Fourthwall uses, among others, Google Cloud servers (Google LLC, USA) and Cloudflare's content delivery network (Cloudflare, Inc., USA).
• Transfers to third countries: Your data is transferred to the USA. Google LLC and Cloudflare, Inc. are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) (adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR). According to my review (as of 29 September 2026), Fourthwall, Inc. itself is not DPF-certified. Transfers to Fourthwall are based on Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR insofar as they are necessary to perform your contract of sale with Fourthwall. In the USA there is a risk that authorities access data without you having the same legal remedies as in the EU.
• Retention: Server log data is stored by Fourthwall according to its policies and deleted when no longer needed.
4. Orders, payment, order contact form
Orders and payment are handled by Fourthwall as the seller (see section 2). Payment is processed by Fourthwall's payment providers (including Stripe and PayPal; depending on your country others such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna). I do not receive payment data (e.g. card numbers).
To make payments and fraud prevention work, the website loads the scripts Stripe.js (Stripe) and Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise (Google) on all pages. This transmits, among other things, your IP address and browser and device information to Stripe or Google to detect abuse and automated access (bots). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (protection against fraud and abuse) or, where a purchase takes place, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; for access to information on your device, Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG insofar as strictly necessary for the function you request. Stripe, LLC (USA; in the EU Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland) and Google LLC are DPF-certified.
What I can see: Through the Fourthwall dashboard I have access to order information (e.g. name, email address, shipping address, items ordered). I only use this data to answer questions about orders, to track my earnings and to prevent abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – not for advertising without your consent.
Contact form: The form on the contact page is operated by Fourthwall. You enter your order number and email address, describe your request and can upload photos. Requests about quality, shipping and returns are handled by Fourthwall's support team; general enquiries are forwarded to me. The same applies to emails to the shop support address contact@support.m3dwnshop.com. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (handling your order) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering other enquiries).
5. Cookies and consent banner
The website uses cookies and similar technologies (e.g. local storage, pixels). Fourthwall provides a cookie banner for this.
• Strictly necessary cookies (e.g. cart, session, currency selection, storing your cookie choice in the cookie cc_cookie) are set without consent because the website would not work otherwise (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Analytics and marketing cookies require your consent in the banner for visitors from the EU (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). See section 6 for the services concerned and for certain identifiers that Fourthwall's shop system may set regardless of your choice.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie banner shown by the shop. The banner appears again if you delete the cookies stored for m3dwnshop.com in your browser. You can also withdraw your consent by writing to me at meldownm3dwn@gmail.com.

6. Analytics and marketing services
Fourthwall embeds analytics and advertising services via Google Tag Manager. Based on my review (as of 29 September 2026), these services are operated with Fourthwall's accounts; I have not added any tracking IDs of my own (e.g. my own Google Analytics or Meta Pixel). I only receive aggregated visitor statistics from Fourthwall in the dashboard.
Some tags are loaded via a server endpoint on the shop domain (m3dwnshop.com/_c/…) ("server-side tagging"); your data then first goes to servers of Fourthwall or Google and from there to the respective providers.
• Google Analytics 4 – Provider: Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC; Purpose: audience measurement, usage statistics; Example cookies: _ga, _ga_*, FPID, FPLC (up to 2 years)
• Google Ads (conversion tracking, remarketing) – Provider: Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC; Purpose: measuring and targeting ads; Example cookies: _gcl_au
• Meta Pixel – Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. / Meta Platforms, Inc.; Purpose: measuring and targeting ads on Facebook/Instagram; Example cookies: _fbp, _fbc (3 months)
• Microsoft Clarity (incl. Microsoft Advertising) – Provider: Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. / Microsoft Corp.; Purpose: usage analysis (incl. clicks, scrolling, session recordings), advertising; Example cookies: _clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID (up to 13 months)
Fourthwall's cookie banner also lists X (Twitter), TikTok and Klaviyo as possible marketing services; they were not active during my review.
• Legal basis: your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time (section 5).
• Third countries: The providers may transfer data to the USA. Google LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation are DPF-certified (Art. 45 GDPR).
• Campaign parameters and advertising identifiers: If you open the website via a link with campaign parameters (e.g. utm_source, gclid, fbclid), a Fourthwall script stores these parameters in cookies (up to 90 days) to attribute visits and purchases to their source. According to my review, Fourthwall's shop system may set these cookies and the Meta identifier _fbp regardless of your choice in the cookie banner. I am clarifying this with Fourthwall and will update this section once I have an answer.
7. Other embedded content
YouTube thumbnails: In the "Videos" section, thumbnails of my YouTube videos are loaded directly from YouTube/Google servers (i.ytimg.com). This transmits your IP address to Google. A video only plays once you click the link and go to YouTube. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (attractive presentation of my content). Google LLC is DPF-certified.
Fonts: The fonts of this website are loaded from my own website m3dwn.com, which is hosted by Neocities. This transmits your IP address to Neocities' servers, which may be located in the USA. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (consistent presentation of the website). Google Fonts are not used.
Links to social networks and music services (Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Spotify, m3dwn.com): These are plain links. Data is only transmitted to the provider once you click a link; the provider's privacy policy then applies.
8. Contact by email or Instagram
If you write to me at meldownm3dwn@gmail.com or send me a direct message on Instagram (@meldown_m3dwn), I process your information (e.g. name, contact details, content of the message) to answer your request.
• Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if it concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering enquiries).
• Providers: My mailbox is operated by Google (Gmail; Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland / Google LLC, USA, DPF-certified). Instagram is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland; Meta's privacy policy also applies to messages via Instagram.
• Retention: I delete your message once your request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
9. Newsletter
The website has a newsletter form ("Join the newsletter"). You can also tick the optional box "Contact me about new announcements" at checkout. In both cases Fourthwall stores your email address and makes it available to me; I can download the list. I only use your email address to send you news about my music, releases and merch if you have signed up. Fourthwall itself does not send newsletters; if I use an email service for sending in the future, I will update this privacy policy beforehand.
• Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter email or by writing to meldownm3dwn@gmail.com.
• Retention: until you unsubscribe; I then delete your address unless I need to keep it briefly to prove earlier consent.
10. Your rights
You have the right to:
• access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR),
• rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) and erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
• withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where I process data based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may object to use for direct marketing at any time without giving reasons.

11. Obligation to provide data, no automated decisions
You are not obliged to provide data. Without the technically necessary data, however, the website cannot be displayed, and without order data Fourthwall cannot fulfil an order. I do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

I update this privacy policy when the website or the law changes. The version published here applies.

• Ich betreibe diese Website als Künstler und gestalte ihre Inhalte.
• Fourthwall, Inc. (PO Box 5696, Santa Monica, CA 90405, USA) stellt die technische Plattform bereit (Hosting, Shop-System, Cookie-Banner, Kontaktformular, Newsletter-Formular) und ist Verkäufer aller Produkte. Bestellung, Zahlung, Herstellung, Versand, Rücksendungen und Kundenservice laufen über Fourthwall.
• Soweit Fourthwall Daten für den Verkauf und die Abwicklung deiner Bestellung verarbeitet (z. B. Name, Anschrift, E-Mail, Bestell- und Zahlungsdaten, Steuer- und Buchhaltungsdaten), tut Fourthwall das als Verkäufer. Einzelheiten findest du in der Datenschutzerklärung von Fourthwall: https://fourthwall.com/privacy-policy (Kontakt: privacy@fourthwall.com).
• Für die Website selbst (Aufruf der Seiten, Cookies, eingebundene Dienste) bin ich verantwortlich; soweit Fourthwall dabei eigene Zwecke verfolgt (z. 3. Aufruf der Website und Hosting
Wenn du diese Website aufrufst, verarbeitet Fourthwall als mein technischer Dienstleister automatisch Daten, die dein Browser übermittelt: IP-Adresse, Datum und Uhrzeit, aufgerufene Seite, Referrer-URL, Browser, Betriebssystem und Gerätetyp. Aus der IP-Adresse wird außerdem dein ungefähres Land ermittelt, um dir die passende Währung anzuzeigen.
• Zweck: Auslieferung und Darstellung der Website, Stabilität, Sicherheit, Missbrauchsabwehr.
• Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (berechtigtes Interesse an einem sicheren, funktionierenden Webauftritt); für technisch notwendige Speicherungen auf deinem Gerät § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG.
• Dienstleister/Serverstandort: Fourthwall, Inc. (USA). Fourthwall nutzt nach meiner Prüfung u. a. Server von Google Cloud (Google LLC, USA) und das Content-Delivery-Netzwerk von Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA).
• Drittlandübermittlung: Deine Daten werden in die USA übermittelt. Google LLC und Cloudflare, Inc. sind unter dem EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) zertifiziert (Angemessenheitsbeschluss, Art. 45 DSGVO). Fourthwall, Inc. selbst ist nach meiner Prüfung (Stand 29.09.2026) nicht DPF-zertifiziert. Die Übermittlung an Fourthwall erfolgt, soweit sie zur Abwicklung deines Kaufvertrags mit Fourthwall erforderlich ist, auf Grundlage von Art. 49 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO. In den USA besteht das Risiko, dass Behörden auf Daten zugreifen, ohne dass dir dieselben Rechtsbehelfe wie in der EU zur Verfügung stehen.
• Speicherdauer: Server-Logdaten werden von Fourthwall nach deren Vorgaben gespeichert und gelöscht, sobald sie nicht mehr benötigt werden.
4. Bestellungen, Zahlung, Kontaktformular zu Bestellungen
Bestellungen und Zahlung wickelt Fourthwall als Verkäufer ab (siehe Abschnitt 2). Die Zahlung erfolgt über Zahlungsdienstleister von Fourthwall (u. a. Stripe und PayPal; je nach Land weitere, z. B. Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna). Ich erhalte keine Zahlungsdaten (z. B. Kartennummern).
Damit Zahlung und Betrugsprävention funktionieren, lädt die Website auf allen Seiten die Skripte Stripe.js (Stripe) und Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise (Google). Dabei werden u. a. deine IP-Adresse sowie Browser- und Geräteinformationen an Stripe bzw. Google übermittelt, um Missbrauch und automatisierte Zugriffe (Bots) zu erkennen. Rechtsgrundlage ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (Schutz vor Betrug und Missbrauch) bzw. – soweit ein Kauf stattfindet – Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO; für den Zugriff auf Informationen in deinem Endgerät § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG, soweit dieser für die von dir gewünschte Funktion unbedingt erforderlich ist. Stripe, LLC (USA; in der EU Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Irland) und Google LLC sind DPF-zertifiziert.
Was ich sehe: Über das Fourthwall-Dashboard habe ich Zugriff auf Bestellinformationen (z. B. Name, E-Mail-Adresse, Lieferadresse, bestellte Artikel). Ich nutze diese Daten nur, um Fragen zu Bestellungen zu beantworten, meine Einnahmen nachzuvollziehen und Missbrauch zu verhindern (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO) – nicht für Werbung ohne deine Einwilligung.
Kontaktformular: Das Formular auf der Kontaktseite wird von Fourthwall betrieben. Du gibst dort Bestellnummer und E-Mail-Adresse an, beschreibst dein Anliegen und kannst Fotos hochladen. Anfragen zu Qualität, Versand und Rücksendungen bearbeitet das Support-Team von Fourthwall; allgemeine Anfragen werden an mich weitergeleitet. Dasselbe gilt für E-Mails an die Shop-Support-Adresse contact@support.m3dwnshop.com. Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Abwicklung deiner Bestellung) bzw. Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (Beantwortung sonstiger Anfragen).
5. Cookies und Einwilligungs-Banner
Die Website nutzt Cookies und ähnliche Technologien (z. B. Local Storage, Pixel). Fourthwall stellt dafür ein Cookie-Banner bereit.
• Technisch notwendige Cookies (z. B. Warenkorb, Sitzung, Währungsauswahl, Speicherung deiner Cookie-Entscheidung im Cookie cc_cookie) werden ohne Einwilligung gesetzt, weil die Website sonst nicht funktioniert (§ 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO).
• Analyse- und Marketing-Cookies bedürfen bei Besuchern aus der EU deiner Einwilligung im Banner (§ 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG, Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO). Welche Dienste das sind und welche Kennungen das Shopsystem von Fourthwall möglicherweise unabhängig von deiner Auswahl setzt, steht in Abschnitt 6.
Du kannst deine Einwilligung jederzeit mit Wirkung für die Zukunft über das Cookie-Banner widerrufen oder ändern, das der Shop anzeigt. Das Banner erscheint erneut, wenn du die für m3dwnshop.com gespeicherten Cookies in deinem Browser löschst. Du kannst deine Einwilligung auch per E-Mail an meldownm3dwn@gmail.com widerrufen.
Außerdem kannst du Cookies in deinem Browser löschen oder blockieren.
6. Analyse- und Marketing-Dienste
Fourthwall bindet über den Google Tag Manager Analyse- und Werbedienste ein. Nach meiner Prüfung (Stand 29.09.2026) handelt es sich um Dienste, die mit Konten von Fourthwall betrieben werden; ich selbst habe keine eigenen Tracking-IDs (z. B. eigenes Google Analytics oder Meta Pixel) hinterlegt. Ich erhalte von Fourthwall lediglich zusammengefasste Besucherstatistiken im Dashboard.
Ein Teil der Tags wird über einen Server-Endpunkt auf der Shop-Domain (m3dwnshop.com/_c/…) geladen („serverseitiges Tagging"); deine Daten gehen dann zunächst an Server von Fourthwall bzw. Google und von dort an die jeweiligen Anbieter.
• Google Analytics 4 – Anbieter: Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC; Zweck: Reichweitenmessung, Nutzungsstatistik; Beispiele für Cookies: _ga, _ga_*, FPID, FPLC (bis zu 2 Jahre)

Im Cookie-Banner führt Fourthwall außerdem X (Twitter), TikTok und Klaviyo als mögliche Marketing-Dienste auf; bei meiner Prüfung waren diese nicht aktiv.
• Rechtsgrundlage: deine Einwilligung (§ 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG, Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO), jederzeit widerrufbar (Abschnitt 5).
• Drittland: Die Anbieter können Daten in die USA übermitteln. Google LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc. und Microsoft Corporation sind DPF-zertifiziert (Art. 45 DSGVO).
• Kampagnen-Parameter und Werbe-Kennungen: Rufst du die Website über einen Link mit Kampagnen-Parametern auf (z. B. utm_source, gclid, fbclid), speichert ein Skript von Fourthwall diese Parameter in Cookies (bis zu 90 Tage), um die Herkunft von Besuchen und Käufen zuzuordnen. Nach meiner Prüfung kann das Shopsystem von Fourthwall diese Cookies sowie die Meta-Kennung _fbp unabhängig von deiner Auswahl im Cookie-Banner setzen. Ich kläre das derzeit mit Fourthwall und passe diesen Abschnitt an, sobald ich eine Antwort habe.
7. Weitere eingebundene Inhalte
YouTube-Vorschaubilder: Im Bereich „Videos" werden Vorschaubilder meiner YouTube-Videos direkt von Servern von YouTube/Google (i.ytimg.com) geladen. Dabei wird deine IP-Adresse an Google übermittelt. Ein Video wird erst abgespielt, wenn du den Link anklickst und zu YouTube wechselst. Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (ansprechende Darstellung meiner Inhalte). Google LLC ist DPF-zertifiziert.
Schriftarten: Die Schriftarten dieser Website werden von meiner eigenen Website m3dwn.com geladen, die bei Neocities gehostet wird. Dabei wird deine IP-Adresse an Server von Neocities übermittelt, die sich in den USA befinden können. Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (einheitliche Darstellung der Website). Google Fonts werden nicht verwendet.
Links zu sozialen Netzwerken und Musikdiensten (Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Spotify, m3dwn.com): Das sind einfache Links. Daten werden an den jeweiligen Anbieter erst übermittelt, wenn du einen Link anklickst; dann gilt die Datenschutzerklärung des Anbieters.
8. Kontakt per E-Mail oder Instagram
Wenn du mir an meldownm3dwn@gmail.com schreibst oder mir eine Direktnachricht auf Instagram (@meldown_m3dwn) schickst, verarbeite ich deine Angaben (z. B. Name, Kontaktdaten, Inhalt der Nachricht), um dein Anliegen zu beantworten.
• Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO, wenn es um einen Vertrag oder dessen Anbahnung geht; sonst Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (Beantwortung von Anfragen).
• Anbieter: Mein E-Mail-Postfach wird von Google betrieben (Gmail; Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland / Google LLC, USA, DPF-zertifiziert). Instagram wird von Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Irland, betrieben; für Nachrichten über Instagram gilt zusätzlich die Datenschutzrichtlinie von Meta.
• Speicherdauer: Ich lösche deine Nachricht, wenn dein Anliegen erledigt ist und keine gesetzlichen Aufbewahrungspflichten entgegenstehen.
9. Newsletter
Auf der Website gibt es ein Newsletter-Formular („Join the newsletter"). Außerdem kannst du im Checkout das freiwillige Kästchen „Contact me about new announcements" ankreuzen. In beiden Fällen speichert Fourthwall deine E-Mail-Adresse und stellt sie mir zur Verfügung; ich kann die Liste herunterladen. Ich nutze deine E-Mail-Adresse nur, um dir Neuigkeiten zu meiner Musik, Releases und Merch zu schicken, wenn du dich angemeldet hast. • Rechtsgrundlage: deine Einwilligung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO). Du kannst sie jederzeit widerrufen – über den Abmeldelink in jeder Newsletter-E-Mail oder per Nachricht an meldownm3dwn@gmail.com.
• Speicherdauer: bis zu deiner Abmeldung; danach lösche ich deine Adresse, soweit ich sie nicht zum Nachweis einer früheren Einwilligung kurzfristig aufbewahren muss.

11. Pflicht zur Bereitstellung, keine automatisierten Entscheidungen
Du musst mir keine Daten geben. Ohne die technisch notwendigen Daten kann die Website aber nicht angezeigt werden, und ohne Bestelldaten kann Fourthwall keine Bestellung ausführen. Eine automatisierte Entscheidungsfindung einschließlich Profiling im Sinne von Art. 22 DSGVO findet durch mich nicht statt.
